The program of Zagreb Summer of Culture 2019, known as ZgKUL 2019, was presented this Wednesday at the Art Pavilion in Zagreb. This year’s program is held under the slogan ‘Be cool – Be in Zagreb’.
The Zagreb Summer of Culture will offer a series of unforgettable cultural programs – from the King Tomislav Sqaure to Bundek and from the Upper Town to New Zagreb, the most beautiful open and closed stages of the city will open their doors to numerous visitors and under the joint project of ‘Zagreb Summer of Culture – ZgKUL’ offer the best and the most attractive of Zagreb’s cultural program.
Zagreb will again be full of artists during the summer, more than two thousand of them from Zagreb, but they’re also coming from many parts of the world. Music, film, theater, exhibitions, heritage and many more cultural attractions are waiting for all the visitors of this year’s ZgKUL, aiming to make the city of Zagreb one of the European cultural metropolises and summer destinations.
The program starts with Zagreb Classic Festival which will feature numerous classical music artists and orchestras on the meadow of the Zagreb Tomislav Park, at the same place you can enjoy ballets and performances of Croatian National Theater throughout the summer.
At the Bundek Lake, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the opera, jazz, performances of LADO ensemble and much more. The summer stage Tuškanac will screen the best films from Motovun Film Festival, Zagreb Film Festival, Festival of Mediterranean Film Split, European Film Review and many others. Special part of Zagreb Summer of Culture belongs to the INmusic Festival and the Summer at the Museum of Contemporary Art as well.
