Winter Holidays at the Zagreb City Museum

The Zagreb City Museum organizes a workshop for elementary school children each day from Wednesday, January 9th till Saturday, January 12th, from 10 to 12 am, where the students will learn how to make the model of Medvedgrad fortress.

By using cardboard, paper, scissors, glue and acrylic paint, the participants will create a Medvedgrad model. Medvedragd is the fortress on Medvednica, above Zagreb, that was built in the 13th century for defense purposes. The students will learn what the scale is, how to determine the height and length of objects and how to settle in the Medvedgrad area. The model will be based on a model from the permanent exhibition of the Zagreb City Museum that shows Medvedgrad in the Middle Age.

The aim of the workshop is to bring students closer to a cultural monument located on the slopes of Medvednica and its past, as well to motivate the participants to visit the cultural sites of Zagreb and raise awareness of its preservation.

Applications for the workshop are in progress via email [email protected] or a phone number 01/ 4851 361 , and the number of participants is limited. The price of the workshop is 20 HRK.
