What’s Happening on Strossmartre? Theater, Art Exhibitions and more Art

Strossmartre, a collection of events organized on Stross Walkway every day from May 19th until the beginning of September is running its course and since it is a pretty big one, lasting few months with hundreds of interesting events and happenings, it is only alright to follow up with updated repertoire and all the interesting stuff that’s going on there right now.

The stage for the little ones has been taken over by a puppet master Mrs. Vanda. She will be performing all those tales you have been hearing/reading in your childhood. They include folk tales, stories from brothers Grimm, H. C. Andersen and many more names and stories that are popular among Croatian people.

Programme on this little theater stage will include the following stories: Cinderella, Rumpelstiltskin, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, The Frog Prince, The Princess and the Pea, The Nightingale, The Emperor’s New Clothes, Yellow Dandelion’s Dancing Dress, How a Mother Mouse Was Looking for a Bride for Her Son, Hedgehog’s House, Who Made a New Shirt for Videk, Little Mirror, How Janica Went to School, The Hopping Ball, Ugly Girl, Slipper Making Cat, The Ant and the Cricket, Grandpa and Turnip, The Curious Kitten, Three Butterflies, How the Elephant Got Its Trunk, Beauty and the Beast, Palle Alone in the World, and a few more.

Summer at Stross this year also brings ‘Atelier under Grič cannon’ which will be held by two professional artists, Petra Lidia Ševeljević and Irena Sophia. The atelier has open hours from 9 AM until 7 PM and is a place for organized exhibitions and workshops.

BUM up exhibitions are opening at 12 PM when the Grič cannon fires marking the midday and Art workshops will be on the program every Tuesday and Thursday from 2 PM until 3:30 PM.
