26th Jazz Spring in Lisinski Concert Hall Starts This Week

Starting April 13th, international jazz stars are coming back to Zagreb for the traditional, 26th Jazz.hr Spring in Lisinski (Proljece u Lisinskom). Vatroslav Lisinski concert hall will host four concerts in this cycle, featuring local and international jazz names with pretty impressive resumes.
Wednesday, April 13th, Joachim Kühn 
Kühn’s career spans for half a century, during which he worked with many leading jazz musicians like Ornette Coleman, Archie Shepp, Jimmy Garrison, Joe Henderson, Don Cherry and Phil Woods.

Thursday, April 14th, NeTTwork
NeTTwork takes the old and the new and mixes it in the most jazz fashion possible, always improvising on the spot, searching for their own sound by deconstructing popular standards and other genres.

Friday, April 15th, Ratko Vojtek Solo
Ratko Vojtek – piano, bass clarinet, djembe.
Vojtek’s moto is let’s be real and ask for the impossible. Enfant terrible of Croatian music seeks the impossible outside of conventions and creates music that comes from the bowels of cultural confrontations around him.
