‘Plac Mljac’ is Bringing Summer to Trešnjevka Market

An open-air night market festival Plac Mljac will be held at ‘one of the “bellies” and undisputed “landmarks” of the Zagreb metropolis’ – Trešnjevka Market, from July 1 to July 7, 2019.

The Plac Mljac: Summer at Trešnjevka Market was initiated in 2014, designed in 2015, and since then is based on a tradition, positive image and tourist attractiveness of one of the most important Zagreb’s markets. The festival was on purpose organized away from the very center of Zagreb, with the intention of dislocating tourist facilities from the very heart of the city, as well as promoting and affirming the Trešnjevka neighbourhood as an extremely interesting tourist location with unique past, people, events and customs.

If you visit Plac Mljac you can expect vertical gardens, creative corners for reading or chilling, a night market where you can do some shopping for local delicacies, fruit and vegetable produce, luxurious floral arrangements, great food and drinks and concerts.

The night music program starts each day at 7 pm and lasts till midnight and the entrance to all events of Plac Mljac is free of charge.
