A great celebration was organised in the Zagreb city centre yesterday. Zagreb Firefighters marked their 140th birthday with a parade of the city fire brigades with more than 2,o00 ‘life- savers’ who marched from the central fire station in Savska 1 to Roosevelt Square, then to Marshal Tito Square and Frankopanska street; through Ilica and finally to Ban Jelacic Square. On this occasion, they did some fire exercises in front of the audience in which they showed that citizens do not need to worry about the fire as long they are in the city. See the photo gallery.
