The Croatian Museum Association is organizing another Museum Night this January, Friday 26th. The first Museum Night was organized back in 2015, and it became a popular national manifestation that includes numerous cities and museums.
The Museum Night is organized the last Friday in January from 6 pm until 1 am, with free entrance to museums, galleries, and other cultural institutions. The program is filled with exhibitions, lectures, workshops, promotions, concerts and other performances.
In light of recent sports events that took place in Zagreb, this – 2018’s Museum Night will be organized under motto ‘Museums & Sport’. The emphasis is on the existing and the creation of new sports collections and to recognize and create sensitivity to its cultural value. Sports heritage is not adequately represented and this event aims to further stimulate discussions on the issues of sports collections and museums in Croatia.
