Kino Europa, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and Zagreb Film Festival are opening the forth season of Fil(m)harmonija, a series of screenings of classic silent films accompanied by live performances from Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra.
This season, film and music lovers will be able to experience two of the biggest classics of the silent era films, Buster Keaton‘s The General and Charlie Chaplin‘s The Kid in a way they’ve probably never experienced the before. Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra is considered one of the best (if not the best) orchestras in Croatia with a century long tradition of excellence, and when they start to play, one feels it in one’s spine.
The first three screenings are being held in Kino Europa on November 5th, 6th and 7th, with additional screenings in December and January next year.
During the first series of screenings/performances held this weekend, The Kid will be shown at 6.30 pm fallowed by The General at 8:30 pm.
Entry fee is 60 kn per screening.
