Exhibition: “Miles Votum Solvit” Legacy of Roman Soldiers in Croatia

With the rich epigraphical legacy of Roman soldiers on Croatian soil, Archeological Museum invites you to see the exhibition “Miles votum solvit” which will be opened this December 22nd until March 31st, 2018.

The exhibition aims to portray not political or military aspect of history they left behind but rather takes a look at the lives of those people, their beliefs, and perception of spirituality through the heritage they left behind. With the written traces we can interpret and get a solid overview of how things used to be back in the day, and not just the religious aspects since most of the remains were placed by the soldiers. There will also be a comprehensive bilingual catalog which gives an overview of themes of the exhibition and holds information on the exhibits and a whole corpus of memorials.

Come and explore the secret lives of Roman soldiers! The museum is opened on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 am till 6 pm, Thursday from 10 am till 8 pm & Sunday from 10 am until 1 pm.
