easyJet Named Croatia Destination of the Year!

British low-cost airline easyJet declared Croatia as a destination of the year. At the same time, their inflight magazine is for the first time ever dedicated to only one country and that is Croatia. This will definitely help to promote our country even more, as their magazine achieves a reach of 6 million passengers a month.

The director of Croatian Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić said: ” The selection of Croatia as the destination of the year by one of the key European air carriers represents a great success for us, but also a confirmation that we’re making some significant and strategically important changes in this important type of transport. The main goals we defined include positioning Croatia as an attractive all-year tourist destination that is at the same time well connected with traffic, especially in the context of air carriers that are extremely important for boosting tourism in pre- and post season periods”. He also added that more than 70 new regular lines were introduced just this year.

easyJet has chosen Croatia as a destination where tourist traffic and interest are increasing, which makes our country one of the key destinations of this airline that transports more than a million passengers to Croatian destinations during the summer months. Only this year easyJet has 49 active lines connecting our destinations such as Dubrovnik, Split, Pula and Zadar with many European cities such as London, Berlin, Milan, Paris and others.
