This year’s edition of Dance Evenings in Zrinjevac will be held from 9 to 25 August, 2019 every day from 8.00 pm to 11.00 pm
From the 50s to the 70s of the last century, a favorite pastime of Zagreb citizens was dancing. Generations of young people have grown up while following world trends and dancing to the rhythms of the most popular rock, jazz and swing hits. Today, Dance Evenings in Zrinjevac revive the spirit of those old Zagreb’s dances.
Dance evenings in Zrinjevac are part of the Zagreb Time Machine project, which brings romantic spirit of past times back to life. The event has been held in August for many years and it has already become a recognizable event, conceived in the fashion of dance evenings, that have been one of the main symbols of social life of the Croatian capital.
This year, along with various concerts and dance programs, Dance Evenings bring a film program as well. Regarding the music program, seventeen different concerts await visitors from August 9 to August 25 in Zagreb. The program will be opened on Friday, August 9 by Robert Mareković & The Swingers, and by August 25, visitors will enjoy concerts and performances by Zdenka Kovačiček, Groovy Cakes, The Drifters, Dj Nikola Martek, DJ Robert Mareković, Loud & Found, The Good Foot , Scifidelity Orchestra, From Tango to Rock, DJ Oli Doboli Latin Style.
