The Grand Opening of the Exhibition ‘Slovak Illustrators Awarded at BIB 1967-2017‘ was held yesterday at the Mimara Museum in Zagreb.
International competition exhibition of children’s books illustrations – Biennale of Illustrations Bratislava (BIB) is the most important event organized by BIBIANA, an international art house for children. It is the most significant event of art and illustrations for children in the global context. Every second year, BIB presents the best of the best from area of illustration.
The exhibition presents the award-winning Slovak authors of the BIB from 1967 to 2017. The visitors can enjoy a wide range of art techniques, compositional arrangements, as well as the diversity of approaches to the text and the atmosphere of the story, the specific moods, the spectrum of artistic approaches and expressions. The collection represents an artistically high quality sample of the Slovak children’s book illustrators creations over a period of 50 years.
The exhibition is open until 25th of November 2018.
