Six Chinese policemen will patrol this summer in couple of Croatian tourist destinations including Zagreb, Dubrovnik and Plitvice Lakes. They will be on duty in our country by mid-August with their Croatian colleagues to help them in solving issues related to Chinese tourists.
Project called “Safe Tourist Season” was initiated in 2006 by Croatian Ministry of Interior with an aim to contribute to a greater sense of security of foreign tourists and also better co-operation in solving criminal offenses of foreign guests. Last year there were 72 foreign police officers taking care of security of our tourists all over Croatia.
These three Chinese police officers were seen patrolling in Zagreb just the other day, while the first joint police patrol of Chinese and Croatian police during the tourist season was launched on June 15th. Next year they’re planning to help their Croatian colleagues for 2 whole months!
