Third WPH Zagreb national championships are to be held on Jarun’s small lake on September 5th. With growing popularity of the sport, wakeboarding and wakeskating scene is seeing more and more young riders from all over Croatia become great, making each championship better then the last one.
But we’re not just talking about Croatian riders here, Zagreb Open is the official championship for the Slovenian wakeboarders as well, with their best riders showing off what the neighboring scene was up to in the last year.
The championship will be held throughout the day, entry is free, and if you get, very unlikely, bored with watching fit guys and gals do insane tricks over rails and jumps, you can always take a break in Aquarius club next to the park where a side program will be held during the competition.
Winners will be announced around 19h, after which a popular happy go lucky summer tunes band Ljetno kino (summer cinema) will have a live concert on a raft in the middle of the lake, with an after party in Aquarius club.
EDIT: Due to changing weather conditions the concert will be held inside Aquarius club.
