At the central squares in Zagreb and Rijeka two huge digital clocks just started to count down the time until the beginning of the European University Games. On large displays located at Ban Jelacic Square and Korzo in Rijeka you can see the number 143. From tomorrow onwards this number will decrease until the big day when the thousands of students from all over Europe will arrive in our city.
For those who don’t know, throughout 15 days in July 2016, 5000 students from 45 European countries and more than 300 Universities will compete in 21 different sports and will be part of the most beautiful sports story ever told in Croatia! They will compete to promote sport, health, equality, communion and tolerance.
