Advent at Villa Prekrižje – Opened for Public for the First Time in Decades

Villa Prekrižje, a summer residence built in 1942, designed by one of the leading architects – Ivan Zemljak between the two World Wars is open for public during the Advent period!

The gorgeous villa and surrounding gardens that were built with elements of traditional national architecture were mostly used as part of the presidential complex for formal meetings and activities of the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia. Both interior and exterior reflect ‘traditional style’ with cast iron lamps, traditional embroidery on furnishing, carved wood patterns and ceramic stoves as used in homes from that era.

The residence has been closed for general public for decades and this year brings a unique opportunity to take a peek and enjoy this glorious architectural achievement decorated in the spirit of Advent.

Villa Prekrižje will be open for public from 16:00 to 20:00 every Saturday and Friday from December 2nd until December 23rd.
