Lado, the National Folk Dance Ensemble of Croatia soon begins the traditional Lenten tour called Kalvarija. Except for the concert which will be held in Zagreb Cathedral, the troupe will perform in Čazma, Križevci, Krapina, Slavonski Brod, Bibinjama, Sibenik, Dubrovnik and Čilipi.
Kalvarija – oratorio for soloists, male choir and mixed folk choir is based on Hvar folk singing. This unique piece of art was written primarily for Lado by Ljubo Stipišić Delmata. This year Lado marks the fifth anniversary of the death of this amazing artist, composer, poet, conductor, collector, by performing his work.
