Jazz.hr/Autumn 2019 from 17 to 19 October brings us a range of jazz concerts in the ‘Blagoje Bersa’ Concert Hall of the Zagreb Academy of Music (Trg Republike Hrvatske 12).

The festival kicks off on Thursday, October 17 at 7:30 pm with a performance of an award winning pianist, composer and producer Leszek Moždžer. Moždžer is the star of the Polish jazz scene who he has been playing piano since he was 5. He has recorded more than 100 albums and performed with numerous internationally acclaimed musicians such as Pat Metheny, Buster Williams, Arthur Blythe, John Scolfield and many others.

The masterful genius of the harp, Colombian Edmar Castaneda is going to performs on Friday, October 18 at 7:30 pm. Castaneda moved to New York from Bogota and shortly after he was sought after due to his talent and passion for music. His approach is powered by jazz expression and a variety of styles, incredible dynamic rhythm and layered nuanced chords, which prompts many to compare him to the most famous flamenco guitarists.

On the last day of the festival – Saturday, October 19th at 7:30 pm you have the opportunity to enjoy the sound of ZZ Quartet. One of the members of ZZ Quartet is the award winning Croatian jazz guitarist Ratko Zjača, famous for his very distinctive signature music and indisputable guitar skills.
