Frankie Cosmos’ Lo-Fi Miniature Stories at Mocvara Club

Even thought she’s only 22 years old, Greta Simone Kline already has six years of recording music behind her. She started to release songs back in 2010 under the pseudonym Ingrid Superstar. They were mostly lo fi miniatures that wold find their way to the audiences through her Bandcamp profile. She changed her name to Frankie Cosmos a year later and has self released over 15 EPs, LPs and other editions before her first real album Zentropy. It was her hyperproduction that got her noticed, but it was her talent that got her the deal. The release was praised by audiences and critics led by AllMusic and Pitchfork in words of praise.

The charming pop miniatures are present in her second album Next Thing, released two moths ago, keeping in line with her storytelling and lo fi sensibilities that grab you, gets under your skin and keep with you long after the (two minute max) song is done, in spite of high levels of production put into the new album. This album was also well received and prized, and with an expanding fan base around the world, Frankie Cosmos’ next move was obvious – her first European tour.

As part of it, Frankie Cosmos is visiting Zagreb on Saturday, September 17th, and will be playing a concert at Močvara club, Trnjanski nasip bb.

The tickets can be bought HERE and cost 45 kn, while on the day of the concert the will cost 55/70 kn.
